Our history
The story begins back in December 1937, when Guillaume Magermans (nicknamed Guy), first settled down as an independent contractor in Marche-en-Famenne along with his father Remy. The war had inspired him with a fierce drive to succeed and with much hard work he was able to grow the transport, relocation and civil engineering services that he offered.
About the Company
In 1968,Guillaume Magermans (nicknamed Guy) founded Guy Magermans & Co., establishing its offices in Marche-en-Famenne, his home. Its transport and relocation services were to flourish in this golden sixties era, rapidly gaining recognition.
Following his father's untimely death in 1978, Guillaume Magerman's son then stepped in to take the reins of the company. His entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen in the transport sector combined with unparalleled expertise in corporate and high-value item relocation helped to establish Guy Magermans & Co. as a truly reliable and diligent service provider.
In the nineties, the business experienced a real boom and in 1997 Guy Magermans was able to build a warehouse spanning over 1000 square metres in size on the Marloie industrial estate, a stone's throw from Marche-en-Famenne and strategically situated in between Brussels and Luxembourg. This enabled the company to further increase its role as a true logistics partner, integral in the production and administration of its clients' stocks.
Today...
With Guy's sons, Matthew and Guillaume, now also employed in the company, the family element of the business has really come to take on its true significance .
On its fourth generation of relocation and international transport experts, Guy Magermans & Co. represents a key partner in the domestic and corporate relocation sector, with its specific expertise in transporting and handling lab equipment for multinational corporations and specialised in the international transport of medical and pharmaceutical products.
